ORDERS & PAYMENT
Consultation: In-salon consult is a complimentary service. 15 min.
Cost of hair: Payment is due at the time of order.
Application/Install: Payment is due at the time of install appointment
Shipping: Orders take 7-10 business days. Expedited shipping is available during business days
Tightenings: Tighten every 3-6 weeks. Exceeding the recommended time frame adds tension on the natural hair and will cause damage & breakage. Please pre-book your follow up tightening at the time install.
Life of hair: Depending on the quality chosen and home care, the hair lasts 3-9 months.
Washing: Less is more. Cleanse 1-2 times per week with luke warm water & moisturizing shamp/cond. Make a loose braid when going to sleep.
Heat styling: Blow-dry with low to medium heat. High heat will damage the hair.
Recommended Products: Hair oil, de-tangling primer, serum, moisture cream, heat protectant, & masks/deep treatments.
Avoid applying alcohol based products on the extensions. This includes volume products, texture sprays & hair spray. Also avoid Cooking Coconut oil, it will cause buildup. When swimming, wear a cap to prevent exposure to chlorine or salt water which causes the hair to tangle.
Fall out: The average person loses 100-200 hairs per day. This shedding aka "fall out" is normal. Fall out is part of the natural hairs cycle allowing new hair to grow in. During the 4-8 weeks between tightenings the fallout is temporarily trapped in the bead/braid/tape until your next tightening when the natural hair is exposed again. Fall out hair is released during the extension removal process. One way to determine the difference between breakage and fall out is to examine the detached hair. If the bulb is attached at the base of the hair, this is natural fallout. If the hair strand does not have bulb, it is breakage.
Scalp irritation: You may experience some irritation. This can be caused by many things. Trapped moisture causes the scalp to itch.. sweat, when the hair is air drying or humid climates. Take the blow dryer and use the 'cold shot' to blow cool air directly at the base of the extension & scalp. Dry shampoo helps absorb the moisture. Apply after the scalp/hair is dry.
Essential oils also help prevent and relieve irritation. Peppermint, melaleuca, tea tree and lavender are recommended. Just dab a small amount on the scalp. If you have skin or tap-in extensions try to avoid touching the adhesive. Oil breaks down the glue and causes the extension to fall out.
If you feel you are having an allergic reaction to the adhesive (Tape-in or skin extensions) remove the extensions immediately. An extensions technician will remove them at the soonest available time. At home removal is also an option. Spray oil or alcohol at the base of the extension and allow it to sit 3-5 minutes. Gently separate the two pieces. Do not force or tear the two pieces apart. Add more oil/alcohol if it is not separating easily.
